A relatively new and quiet program, Parole in Place is a program designed to help spouses of active members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

If the foreign national has no documentation showing his or her lawful admission to the United States, the granting of Parole in Place may allow the foreign national to seek Adjustment of Status in the U.S. instead of being forced to return home for Consular Processing.
