Feeling Thankful in November

It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. I hope that your holiday was spent with loved ones and eating delicious food! We know, though, that many of our clients spent the holiday away from their loved ones because of our ever-more-strict immigration laws and policies. We haven’t forgotten about them and we continue to fight and do everything we can to bring them back together.

But, as we always do at the end of the month, we want to highlight our clients who received good news this last month. We saw one client become a U.S. citizen, another client was granted asylum status, and we had nine clients become lawful permanent residents (including two who had originally been granted self-petitioning status under the Violence Against Women Act and two who had been victims of violent crime). We know that they had something extra to be thankful for this holiday!

We’ve also been genuinely touched by several clients who all took time out of their holidays to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving. We care so much about our clients and it’s encouraging to see that our clients also care about us.

As we look forward to December. we’ll keep watching for news on USCIS fee increases and staying on top of all the changes/policies that this administration puts in place to try and limit immigration. More importantly, though, we will continue to win cases and change lives – one person and one family at a time!
